Chiang Mai ~ Thai Land…

Chiang Mai is a city in mountainous northern Thailand. Founded in 1296, it was capital of the independent Lanna Kingdom until 1558. Its Old City area still retains of walls and remains from its history as a cultural and religious center. It’s also home to hundreds of elaborate Buddhist temples, including 14th-century Wat Phra Singh and 15th-century Wat Chedi Luang, adorned with carved serpents.

Chiang Mai Province is in Northern Thailand. The Chiang Mai weather is always cooler than the rest of the country, with a mean temperature of 25Β°C throughout the year. The city has plethora of things to see and things to do. The beauty of the mountains, hill tribe villages, and botanical gardens attracts millions of tourists to Chiang Mai every year. You can also enjoy a zoo and aquarium, a nocturnal zoo, and classic Northern Thai temples and architecture which are a fusion of Lanna, Mon, and Burmese styles.

Chiang Mai has a long history. It was once the capital of the Lanna Kingdom. Nowadays it is a very modern city, similar to Bangkok.

      2. I travelled Ausis many times since 90s and i did a lot of travel inside country its amazing yet to travel in the longest train from coast to coast. I love to visit again exclusively for long holiday some days soon this year. πŸŒΉπŸ€πŸ™
